Importance of Faith

The assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Summer is here, meaning more vacations and time away from town for some.  I want you to enjoy your travel and relax as you have the opportunity, but as you do invite the Holy Spirit to burn within you and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere you go.

Also, remember Christ Church and please continue your support of your home church as you travel.  Stay in touch with the newsletter and through YouTube and Facebook.  Our budget remains slightly underfunded so support the church financially as well when you travel, please.

Over the summer we will be looking at Hebrews 11 which recounts the importance of Faith.  “1b The assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.”

The rest of the chapter will guide us week by week to examine many of the heroes of our faith from the Old Testament from Abel to Abraham to Moses to the Martyrs of the New Testament and the Acts of the Apostles.  As we see faith exemplified in these, I pray it will build faith in us as we move through the summer and the scriptures.

See you soon!
