After a difficult announcement Sunday when I shared that I will be reappointed in late spring or early Summer (likely May or June) I told you that I could not share where I would be going, but now I can.  I will be appointed to Higgins Church – A Global Methodist Congregation in Burnsville, North Carolina.  As I said Sunday, this decision was not easy, primarily because we love you all.  However, we believe, and it’s been confirmed in many ways, that this is where God is calling us. 

I also want you to know that I, Rev. Barry Drum, the Cabinet of the North Carolina Conference, will work with our leadership to appoint the best possible pastor to come to Christ Church.  We want this for you and for the Kingdom.  Christ Church is a wonderful congregation, and you have so blessed us, and we thank you.  Now is not the time for goodbyes; we still have several months till then; for now, our work together continues, and there is much to do.
