Another Week Another Storm

God is with us, through the storms

Another week, another storm.  Milton is bearing down on Florida as we struggle to deal with the aftermath of Helene in North Carolina.  As in nature, we also feel that same pressure in our lives.  We have barely made it through one storm before another assails us.  It can leave us reeling, wondering if the ground beneath us is moving.  Yet amid such storms, we are never alone.  God is with us, watching over us and sending along help in our time of need.  That’s what we are doing for our neighbor to the west.  This past Sunday, $846.00 was collected at the communion rail, and other physical gifts were also donated.  All is being forwarded to those in need.

In the coming months we will have opportunities to go and help, others are there now soon the rebuilding will start and the major attention will be on other places like Florida’s Tampa Bay region.  But those in the mountains will not be abandoned. God will still be there and his faithful will still be helping out.

Another thank you to the folks who came out this past Saturday. It was a wonderful day of fun for the children and a day of witnessing to the community. Thank you all.

Peace,

Pastor Burt
