Church buildings are not just physical space dedicated to God that remind us of His presence. We must remember that’s not the only real estate He wants. He also wants to live in Heart, Soul, Mind, Family, and Home.
As we continue our Advent series “Make Room” this Sunday, we will explore making room in your home. We will discuss ways to create space and reminders of faith in your home, and I will share some ways we do so in the Williams home. As we talked about making room in our hearts last week (and next week, we will explore making room in our family), physical space is an essential part of both of those; in fact, that’s what church buildings are: physical space dedicated to God that reminds us of His presence. We must remember that’s not the only real estate He wants. He also wants to live in Heart, Soul, Mind, Family, and Home.
The Move On (Disaffiliation Fund is not Fully Funded) and the Deed to our property is in hand. We are officially a Global Methodist Church, and I am excited about the possibilities. On January 7th, Keri Howard, the Vice President Protem of the North Carolina Provisional Annual Conference, will be with us for worship, where we will take our new membership vows as Global Methodists and Members of Christ Church. Keri is a good friend and a great preacher. I hope you will be here.
I thank you all for your great support of the Kingdom of Christ that is expressed here at Christ Church. Matt is creating postcards to invite people to our Christmas Eve Services at 10:30 am and 5:00 pm. I encourage you to share some with neighbors, friends, and family. Christmas is a great time to invite people to church!
See you Sunday!!!
Peace,
Burt
